Howard Knowles

Howard Howell Knowles, SR., 76, of Folkston, GA, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019 in Jacksonville, FL following a lengthy illness.  He was born February 14, 1943 in Folkston, GA to the late Jeffery Knowles and Lula Lloyd Knowles.  He was a member of Camp Pinckney Baptist Church and American Legion Post #130 in Folkston.  He proudly served his country in the US Army.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters:  Beulah Spradley and Inez Riggins and brothers:  Thomas Knowles, Lonnie Knowles, and Arthur Knowles.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years:  Bernice Crosby Knowles; 3-children:  Howard Howell Knowles, Jr. (Andi), Neccy Knowles Garvin (Minter) and Jed Knowles (Erin); sister:  Geraldine Knowles Butts; 2-brothers:  Emmanuel Knowles (Martha Ann) and Gene Knowles; 12-grandchildren and 6-great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 20 at 2:00 PM at Camp Pinckney Baptist Church with Rev. Ray McMillan and Rev. Keith Lloyd officiating.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church.  Memorialization will be by cremation.
