Herbert Haddock

Herbert Leon Haddock, 86, of, Hilliard, Florida passed away August 6, 2013 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center.  He was born October 12, 1926 in Hilliard Florida to the late Dean Haddock and Eva Matilda Nelson Haddock.  Mr. Haddock lived a very devoted Christian life and touched every life he came in contact with.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Army.  He was a member of Buford Grove Baptist Church.  He will be joining his wife, Alice Sina Prescott Haddock in heaven where they will be praising Jesus for Eternity.

He is survived by three children who loved and cherished him:  Eva Faye Jones (Buddy), of St. Simons Island, GA, Larry Leon Haddock, of Hilliard, FL, and Jeff Ray Haddock (Donna) of Vidalia, GA.  He was also an adored grandfather of four:  Shannan Elyse Jones (Bruce) of St. Simons Island, GA, Zachary Benjamin Jones of St. Simons Island, GA, Susan Elizabeth Shaw of Statesboro, GA and Casey Leigh Haddock of Vidalia, GA.  He was also a loving brother to Mable Ford of Keystone Heights, FL and Harold Haddock (Mary) of Cleveland, TN and Julian Haddock (Gail) of Augusta, GA.  Mr. Haddock also leaves behind a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and a large, loving church family at Buford Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Friday August 9 at 11:00 AM at Buford Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Harrington officiating.  The family will receive friends beginning at 9 AM at the church.  Burial will follow in Pigeon Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Buford Grove Baptist Church.
