Hazel Gore

Hazel Thompson Gore a long-time resident of Darien, was granted her angel wings on May 27, 2011 after an extended illness. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends to whom she brought so much joy during her memorable life.
Hazel loved gardening, good food, friends, family and the Good Lord above. Hazel is survived by her children Billy Brantley of Valdosta, Laurel Milici Chapman of Brunswick, Lavonia Wallace of Shellman, Darryl Gore of Darien, Mitchell Gore of Darien, and Sue Dykstra of Brunswick; her grandchildren Russell Gore, Dawn Kicklighter, Selena Milici, Angela Wallace, Regina Turner, Kacie Gale, Rusty Wallace, Dara Gore, Nicole and Elizabeth Dykstra and Grace Gore in addition to several beloved great grandchildren. Hazel is also survived by her loving sister Ethel and many beloved nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation held at the Church of God of Prophecy, Townsend, Ga. 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 31. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 1, at Shepard Funeral Home, Folkston, Ga. Visitation 1:00-2:00 PM with the service beginning at 2:00 PM, burial following in St. George at Boone’s Creek Cemetery.
