Harvey Ricketson

Harvey Cleon Ricketson, 92, of Hilliard, FL passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL.  He was born May 16, 1929 in Brunswick, GA to the late Cleon Ricketson and Beulah Boyd Ricketson.  He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict in 1951-1952 and returned home and married Helen Estelle Sikes in 1954 and moved to Hilliard, FL in 1955.  He retired from the Nassau County Road Department in 1994.  He was a faithful member of the Hilliard Church of God.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife:  Helen E. Ricketson; a brother:  Jimmie Ricketson and 2-sisters:  Nell Raulerson and Marion Nelson.

He is survived by his daughters:  Karen Lee and her husband, Joe, Teresa Johnson and her husband, Roger, Paula Nettles and her husband, Lynn, and Sharon Ricketson; 2-sisters:  Thelma Wilkerson and Shirley Chaney; a brother:  Alton Ricketson; 14-grandchildren, 13-great grandchildren, 3-great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 29 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home from 6-8 PM.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 30 at 11:00 AM at the Hilliard Church of God with Rev. Larry Powell officiating.  Burial will follow in Mill Creek Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Kelly Johnson, Cory Johnson, Darren Johnson, Preston Nettles, Robin Linton and Kyle Kierce.
