Harold DeLassus, Sr

October 27, 1935 — January 18, 2018

Harold Reed DeLassus, Sr., 82, of Folkston, GA passed away January 18, 2018 at his residence.  He was born October 27, 1935 in Friars Point, MS to the late Linnie Miles DeLassus and Willie May Roan DeLassus.  He retired as a Tow Boat Captain in the Mississippi, its contributories and the Gulf of Mexico.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Along with his parents, he was preceded by 2-sons:  David and Danny DeLassus and an infant son; 7-siblings and a grandchild:  James Edward DeLassus.
He is survived by his wife:  Faye DeLassus; children:  Wanda (Donny) Sparkman, Anthony (Inelle) DeLassus, Rita DeLassus, Harold DeLassus, Jr., Melissa DeLassus and Lin (Carmela) DeLassus; 22-Grandchildren and 34-Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 23 at 2:00 in the Shepard Roberson Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Homeland Cemetery with military honors.
