Grace Nelson

Grace Neverland “Nevy” Sikes Nelson, 52 of Hilliard passed away July 29, 2012 in the Morris Center, Jacksonville, Florida after an extended illness. She was born in Folkston, Georgia to Daniel B. and Delorise Myrtle Johns Sikes on July 21, 1960 in Folkston, Georgia. Nevy was a loving wife , mother grandmother and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her Husband of 35 years: Richard Anthony Nelson of Hilliard, Florida; five Children: Dan Nelson; Luke Nelson, Richard Nelson, Samantha Nelson and Sara Nelson of all Hilliard;
Her Mother: Delorise Sikes of Hilliard; two sisters: Hope Anderson and Dawn Carroll, both of Hilliard; 8 Grandchildren; Several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her Grandparents: W.O. and Blanche Johns; Dan and Nellie Mae Sikes; Father: D.B. Sikes;, a Sister: Faith Cambell.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Boulougne First Baptist Church at 10:00 AM with Rev. James Conner and Rev. Chris Woodard officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Hilliard, Florida.
