Glenice Carter

Glenice Franklin Carter, 79 of Kingsland, Georgia passed April 6, 2013 at Hospice of the Golden Isles, Brunswick, Georgia. She was born October 29, 1933 to Warren and Nancy Scranton Franklin in Gilford, Vermont. She had been a resident of Kingsland since the early 80’s. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Folkston, Georgia.
She is survived by her children: three sons: Richard Carter of Kingsland, Georgia; Gary Carter (Donna) of Geneva, Ohio; Lance Carter of St. Louis, Missouri; three daughters: Patty Openlander (Tom) of St. Louis, Missouri; Sherry Carter of St. Louis, Missouri; Gale Herring(Paul) of Kingsland, Georgia; one sister: Elaine Petrie of Brattleborro, Vermont; twin brothers: Bill Franklin(Shirley) of Vernon , Vermont; Al Franklin of Gilford, Vermont; one sister-in-law: Joanie Franklin of Gilford, Vermont; Twelve grandchildren; Seven Great-grandchildren; Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 8, 2013 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 11:00 AM with Father Gabe Cummings officiating. Entombment will follow in Coastal Memorial Gardens, Kingsland, Georgia.
