Glen McCaleb

Glen Eugene McCaleb, 59, of Blackshear, Georgia passed away April 4, 2010. Glen was born October 20, 1950 in Whicita, Kansas to the late Joseph Henry McCaleb, Sr. and Juanita Mae Russell McCaleb. He served as an honorable soldier in the Marine Corp and was a P.O.W in the Vietnam War. Glen loved to sing gospel music, fishing and playing with his Grandchildren. He was loved and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his Wife: Diane McCaleb of Blackshear; his Daughters: Lohoma Mae Hines, Colletia Lynn Oliver and Christine McCaleb, Annie (Andrew) Farr of Blackshear, Cathy Williams and Toni (Gary) Sweat of Lake City, FL; Two Brothers: Joseph H. (Jollie) McCaleb Jr. of Atlanta, GA and Chester Ray McCaleb of Blackshear; Three Sisters: Jeanette (Sid) Lewis, Mary (Dan) Kinzler of Jacksonville, FL, and Sue (Ray) Covy of Daytona Beach, FL; Twenty Four Grandchildren, One Great Grandchild, and Several Nieces, Nephews and other Relatives. He is preceded in death by his Father, Mother and Daughter: Stephanie Dean.
Honorary Pallbearers are Tracy Falgout, Joe Falgout, Gary Sweat, Andrew Wright, Jeremy Jones, Ryan Musgrove and Phillip Lindsey.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 8, 2010 from 6-8 PM at Shepard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Friday, April 9, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery with Rev. Joe Meddite and Rev. Lonnie Baldwin officiating.
