Gilbert Horne

Gilbert Royal Horne, 79, of Browntown passed away September 21, 2010. He was born June 22, 1931 to the late Nathan Horne and Jessie Estelle Haddock. Mr. Horne graduated High school with Honors in 1949, from Camden County. He was a member of the Hunting Club Silco and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his Children: Jason Sheffield of Browntown, GA, Andy Sheffield of Browntown, GA, Derrick Sheffield of Browntown, GA, Marcus (Amanda) Watson of Jacksonville, FL and Jill Watson of St.Marys, GA; One Sister: Annie Rigdon of Elijay, GA; 7 Grandchildren, several Nieces, Nephews and other Relatives.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 27, 2010 from 6-8PM at Shepard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Shepard Funeral Home with Rev. Alton Crews and Rev. Seymour Groover officiating. Burial will follow at Carlton Cemetery in Kingsland, GA.
