George William O’Quinn, 67, passed away May 14, 2014 following a lengthy illness. He was born in Callahan, Florida and was a member of Homeland Pentecostal Church. Mr. O’Quinn proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife: Shirley Paulette O’Quinn; a son: James Hutcheson; his father: Felton Amos O’Quinn and 2-Brothers: James O’Quinn and Felton O’Quinn, Jr.
He is survived by his 3-Sons: Wesley Hutcheson and Rusty O’Quinn and C.J. Somelian; a daughter: Sandra Kay Blount; 2-Brothers: David O’Quinn and Amos O’Quinn; his mother: Alma Altman Cothern; 7-Sisters: Geraldine Scheaffer, Beth Dunham, Pat Pylant, Debbie Bay, Gwen Carney, Sandy Taylor, Kim Britt; 5-Grandchildren: James “Tater” Hutcheson, Leslie Mattox, Kristie Crews, Tricia O’Quinn, Traci Padgett; 4-Great Grandchildren: Dennis Brown, Dixie Brown, Madison Crews, & Ryan Crews; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends Saturday, May 24 at the Homeland Pentecostal Church from 11:00-1:00. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 Pm with Rev. Alton Crews officiating. Burial will follow in Dowling Cemetery.
