Fred Woolard

Fred Woolard, 73 of Folkston, Georgia passed away May 14, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 26, 1943 in Folkston, Georgia to Lum and Lillie Carter Woolard. Fred was ordained at the age of 33 and was the Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in St. Marys, Georgia for a number of years. He loved fishing and hunting, but loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years: Grace Dixon Woolard of Folkston; two sons: Leon Woolard (Jamie) of Folkston; Will Woolard (Perri) of Folkston; two daughters: Patty (Greg) Jackson of St. Marys, Georgia and Marcie Colvin of Kingsland, Georgia; two brothers: Louis Woolard (Sherry) of Folkston, Georgia; Robert Woolard of Folkston, Georgia; one sister: Betty Jean Wheling (Lyle) of Folkston, Georgia; Twelve grandchildren, Eleven Great-grandchildren; Several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Monday May 16, 2016 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Shepard Roberson Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Huling officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Pinckney Cemetery.
