Frances Murray McCoy, 84, of Folkston, passed away August 19, 2009 following an extended illness.
A native of Waycross, Ga. She had lived in Folkston for many years, where she was a member of First Baptist Church. Frances was the daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. Loring P. Murray. She graduated from nursing school at the Medical College of Georgia and did post-graduate work in New York City and Miami.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Anne M. Carter, and two brothers,Loren P. Murray and Charles M. Murray.
Survivors include two daughters: Mary McCoy(Leon) Smith, Amelia Island, Fl.,; Susan(Terry)Scott, Harriets Bluff, Ga.; One son:: Danny(Lisa) McCoy of Eastman, Ga; five grandchildren: Haley(John) Enlow, Tee(Sae) Scott, Matt McCoy, Mandy McCoy and John Micheal McCoy; two great-grandchildren: Alex Enlow and Jake Enlow.
The family will receive friends Saturday, August 22, 2009 at First Baptist Church at 2:00PM with Memorial services beginning at 3:00PM. Rev. Randy Jacoby and Rev. Gene McCollough will officiate. Private burial services will be held later.
