Frances Carter

Frances Marie Jacobs Carter, 77, of Homeland, GA, passed away July 7 at Hospice of the Golden Isles following a lengthy illness. She was born in Folkston to the late Fred and Iona Highsmith Jacobs. She retired from the Charlton County School System from the Lunchroom Department. She was a member of the Homeland United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her Children: Linda (Jimmy) Bryant, Yvonne (Morris) Carter, and Renee (Scott) Cooper; a Son Cecil Robert Carter, Jr.; 3-Grandchildren: Erica Thomas, Eric Bryant and Noelle Cooper; 3-Great Grandchildren: Benjamin, Zachary, and Andrew Thomas; 2-Sisters: Rotha Smith and Shirley McCallister; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Sunday July 10 at 3:00 PM at the Homeland United Methodist Church with Rev. Eddie Rawl officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
