Florence Bruschke

Florence Bargeron Bruschke, 81, of Homeland, GA passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 in Brunswick, GA. She was born October 23, 1939 in Long County, GA to the late Benjamin Lonnie Bargeron and Sarah Bell Driggers Bargeron.  After raising her children, she went to college and received her Masters in Education and taught Special Ed at Folkston Elementary for 16 years.  She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings:  Mattie Bell Aspinwall, Katie Lee Taylor, Ottis Ray Bargeron and Clint Bargeron.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years:  Walter H. Bruschke; 2-children:  Gene Bruschke and his wife, Connie and Jane Gowen and her husband, Mark; 2-grandchildren:  Luke Gowen and his wife, Becky and Benjamin Walter Bruschke; 2-great grandchildren:  Kimbree Gowen and Mark Gowen; a brother:  Benjamin Bargeron and a sister:  Cornelia Taylor and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 30 at 1:00 PM in the Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home Chapel with Ray Bargeron officiating.  Memorialization will be by cremation.

Due to the COVID-19, the family would like to ask all to please follow the rules of social distancing and face mask are recommended at the service.   Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the service, the family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
