Obituary Notice:
Eugene Steedley, 67, of Hilliard, passed away Thursday September 27 at Northeast Florida Community Hospice Morris Center in Jacksonville, FL. He was born in Alma, Georgia to Chester and Willa Mae Hiers Steedley. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Boulougne where he served as an usher. He was a member of the Callahan Masonic Lodge F&AM #32. He retired from National/Pan AM Airlines. He was owner/operator of Steedley Trucking. He was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Ann Maloof Steedley.
He is survived by his children: Marjorie Rodrigues of Atlantic Beach, FL, Tommy Steedley and Paul Steedley, both of Hilliard, FL; 11-Grandchildren;Brother: James (Deena) Steedley of Ridgeland, SC, 2-Sisters: Latrell (Sonny) Turner and Nell (Ed) Haselden, both of Alma, GA; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A memorial services will be held Monday October 1 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Boulougne with Dr. Robert Tibbs officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Boulougne Building Fund.
