Ethel Raulerson, 91, of Folkston, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. She was born in Moniac, Georgia, on February 6, 1933, to the late John Buck Burnsed and Emmie Rhoden Burnsed.
Ethel was the loving mother to her five children who were the most important people in her life. She loved gardening and making such beautiful creations with flowers. She also had the ability to make the best meals that fostered the opportunity for family love, conversation, and communion.
Ethel was the matriarch of her large family who completely adored her. Her love and guidance will forever be with her family, and their lives will be continually better because of her influence.
Ethel was a founder of Moniac Baptist Church and was a faithful servant in many capacities as long as her health enabled her to.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Noah J. “N. J.” Raulerson, and her two sons: Corley H. Raulerson and Christopher C. Raulerson.
Ethel is survived by three children: Dwight Raulerson, Robbin (Mike) Phillips, and Sharon (Andy) Anderson; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 5 great, great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home. A service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Moniac Baptist Church, with Pastor Tim Colvin officiating. Burial will follow at North Prong Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lathan Crews, Byron Crews, Ayden Crews, Collins Griffin, Brian Kern, and Shannon Carter.
