Ena Merritt

Ena Denise Merritt Kelly, 51, of Hilliard, FL passed away August 2, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL.  She was born July 11, 1970 in Jacksonville, FL.  She worked for Jax Federal Credit Union for 23 years and was a Doula for many years.  She enjoyed baking wedding cakes.  She was a member of Buford Grove Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 30 years.

She is survived by her husband:  Wayne Kelly; her children:  Margot Anderson, Katie Anderson, Emily (Timothy) Yarbrough, Kayela (Blane) Rigney, Kody (Krystalynn) Kelly; her parents:  Hal & Barbara Merritt; her grandfather:  Wallace Strickland; a sister:  Amanda (Al) Gordon; a brother-in-law:  Carlos Nordquist; 7-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her sister:  Tera Nordquist.

A celebration of life service will be held Friday, August 6 at 5:30 PM at Buford Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Pruitt officiating.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church.

Due to Covid-19, the family would like to ask all attendees to please follow the rules of social distancing and face masks are recommended at the service.  Also, anyone that does not feel comfortable with attending the service, the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
