Elsie Murray

Elsie Rider Murray, 84, of Folkston, Georgia passed away March 22, 2010. She was born in Charlton County to Dock and Kate Chesser Rider and had been a lifelong resident. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Folkston, and was a caregiver. She was a humble, loving mother, grandmother and dear friend.
She is survived by her Daughters: Elaine (Roger) Giddens of Folkston and Glenda (Jimmy) Phillips of Jacksonville, FL; Three Sisters: Lucille Prevatt of Jacksonville, FL, Blanche Browning of Pittsburgh, PA, and Shirley Schrock of Jacksonville, FL; Four Grandchildren: David Lee, Lori Sutton, Amy (Lee) Cotchaleovitch, Murray (Amanda) Phillips all of Jacksonville, FL; Six Great-Grandchildren, several Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her Husband: Cecil Carl Murray; Four Brothers, and Two Sisters.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6-8PM. Funeral Services will be Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Folkston, Georgia with Rev. Randy Jacoby officiating. Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery.
