ELIZABETH LANIER

September 8, 1938 — April 6, 2011

China Elizabeth Timmons Lanier, 72, of St. George, Georgia passed away April 6 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born in Fayetteville, NC to the late Wardean Louis and Mary Magdalene Davis Timmons. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of St. George. She was a foster parent for over 15 years and was given the honor of “Foster Parent of the Year”.
She is survived by her sons: Clyde (Cindy) Strickland and John C. Adams, III; 3-Daughters: Janieshea, Michelle, and Nicole Lanier; 2-Sisters: Nita Lamb and Wanda Timmons; 2-Grandchildren, and a great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother: Wardean William Timmons and a sister: Sadie Marie Twilley.
The family will receive friends Saturday, April 9 at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, GA from 5-7 PM. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 10 at the First Baptist Church of St. George with Rev. Ray McKendree officiating. Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery.
