ELENOR SIKES

Eleanor Easter Hodges Sikes, 84 of Hilliard, FL departed this life July 8 ^th at 7:25PM after a lengthy illness and entered her heavenly home.  She was born to and preceded in death by her parents: David Bailey Hodges and Alma Henrietta Hodges Davis, her husband: W.R. Sikes, two children: Irvin Gene Sikes and Shirley Sikes Wells Hamblin, two brothers: Clyde Bailey Hodges and Dean Cole Hodges. She leaves behind three sons: Troy(Linda) Sikes, Everette (Ruby) Sikes, Clyde(Regina) Sikes; two daughters: Ann (Jimmy) Petty; Lesa (Joey) Adams; two brothers: Cecil (Joanne) Hodges; Clinton(Cheryl) Davis; three sisters: Margie(Ray) McCullough ; Maxine(H.C.)Morgan; Stella(Cleve) Wilson; Fourteen Grandchildren; Sixteen Great Grandchildren; Eight Great-great-Grandchildren and a great number of nieces, and nephews.

Eleanor was a lifetime resident of Hilliard, FL.  She loved poetry, fishing and gardening.  She was a member of the Hilliard Church of God for over 50 years.  She touched the lives of everyone she met and will be dearly missed by all.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 10, at Shepard Funeral Home from 6PM until 8 PM. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 11, at Hilliard Church of God at 10:00 AM with Rev. Larry Powell officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Bethel Cemetery in Hilliard, Florida.
