Elbert Smith LaRoche(Pete), 80 of Hilliard passed away April 1, 2009 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Jacksonville, Florida.
He was born June 10, 1928 in Waycross, Georgia to Frank Isaac and Juno Smith LaRoche. He served his Country in the United States Airforce. He also worked for Geand retired after 231/2 yrars . Mr. LaRoche was a member of the American Legion in Waycross, Georgia and also in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended Live Oak Baptist Church of Hilliard, Florida.
Survivors : his wife of 53 years: Virginia LaRoche of Hilliard, Two Sons: Elbert Dennis LaRoche of Jacksonville and Frank William LaRoche (Laura) of Hilliard; Daughter: Connie Pittman(Tim) of Jacksonville; Three Grandchildren: Mitchell cody Pittman of Jacksonville, Racheal elizabeth Pittman of Jacksonville, and Jennifer Alexis Laroche of Hilliard; one sister: Mary Frances Megginson of Birmingham, Al.; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends, Saturday, April 4 at Live Oak Baptist Church beginning at 2:00 PM. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 PM with Rev. Steve Wolgamott officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
