Effie Dixon

Effie Lee McCallister Dixon, 82, of Folkston, GA passed away January 1, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL.  She was born December 22, 1932 in Metter Georgia to the late William Ben McCallister and Verna Lambert McCallister.  She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Boulougne.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:  Lee Dixon; a son:  James Dixon; siblings:  Curley McCallister, Junior McCallister, Irene Brantley, Mildred Welch, Marie Dowling & Molabelle Helms.
She is survived by her children:  Ann Geiger (Arthur Joe), Revis Dixon (Dona), Debbie Cross (Earl), Faye Brooks (Victor); a sister:  Jeanette Ogilvie; 8-Grandchildren; 7-Great Grandchildren; 8-Great Great Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 3 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6-8 PM.  Funeral Services will be held Sunday, January 4 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Boulougne with Rev. Chris Woolard and Rev. Greg Jones Officiating.  Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery in Folkston, GA.
