Douglas Ray McCullough

Douglas Ray McCullough was born in Laurens County, GA on May 7, 1930 to the late Clarence McCullough and Mamie Register McCullough. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Joseph Eldridge McCullough, Arnold Dykes McCullough (Euneeda); sister: Bryleen McCullough Williamson (Murriel); and brother-in-law: Johnny Stinson. Ray met the love of his life, Margie Hodges, in Hilliard, FL in March 1951. It was love at first sight. They married on September 15, 1951 and have been married for 73 years. They built a life and raised four fine sons together.

He is survived by his wife: Margie Hodges McCullough; a brother: Carrol McCullars; sisters: Sherry Stinson and Jean Floyd; sons: David McCullough (Sue Ann), Lee McCullough (Sandy), Mark McCullough (Janet), and Timmy McCullough (Amanda); 14-grandchildren; 23-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and an abundance of friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Buford Grove Baptist Church from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Buford Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Pruitte, Pastor Keith Carringer and Pastor Chad Kennison officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery in Hilliard, FL.

Pallbearers will be Chad McCullough, Joey McCullough, Joe McCullough, Josh McCullough, Marcus McCullough, Malcolm McCullough, Dusty McCullough and Austin McCullough.
