Donna La'Fayne Lloyd-Whitney

It is with great sadness we announce Donna La-Fayne Lloyd-Whitney of Folkston Ga. passed away on January 15, 2024. She was surrounded by her loving family.

She was born November 30, 1958 to the late Ronald Roy Lloyd and JimmieMae Lloyd (O’Berry).

Donna loved life! She loved adventure and most of all she loved her family. She was so proud of her three boys. She would say they are her greatest accomplishment. She adored her grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to shower them with her love.

Ms. Donna, as she was known to her many students, worked for the University of Georgia Extension Office (4-H) for 25 years, and managed the nursery at the Folkston Methodist Church for 25 years. She loved working with children, and was known for being the most selfless person. Donna dedicated so much to this community, the Methodist Church, and her family and friends.

She is proceeded in death by Ronald Roy Lloyd (Father) and Jimmie Mae Lloyd (Mother).

She is survived by her son’s Skyler (Victoria) Lloyd, Stormy Whitney, Benjamin (Ashley) Whitney, and one non biological chosen son Alfie (Nina) Wittrien.

Her grandchildren Theodore Lloyd, Liliana Walker, Makenzie, Noah, and Ashlynn Whitney.

Her siblings Ronald (Phyllis) Lloyd, Shelia (Steve) Baker, Cynthia (Mike) Bray, and Robert Lloyd

Her 15 nieces and nephews and 20 great nieces and nephews.

Service will be held January 20, 2024 at the Folkston Methodist Church at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held one hour ahead of the service at 10:00 am at the Folkston Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Folkston Methodist Church.
