Donald “Don” Robert Woodman, 77, of Jacksonville, FL passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022 in Jacksonville following a lengthy illness. He was born March 14, 1945 in Portage, Wisconsin to the late Donald Colonius Woodman and Rubie L. (Nihrlich) Woodman. “Woody” as he was known in the service, was a proud, decorated, US Navy Veteran. Don was a loving husband and father. Donald was the strongest pillar of family and community. He was an exceptional master craftsman and technician in many disciplines. Don was a fantastic teacher of those skills and passed many skills to his children. Donald donated many of his talents to the churches in which he was a member. He was of the Protestant faith.
In addition to his parents, Donald and Rubie Woodman, he was preceded in death by his wife: Yvonne E. (Davis) Woodman; a daughter: Donna L. (DeMeo) Cimini; a grandson: Kyle P. Woodman and 2-sisters: Diane R. (Woodman) Johnson and Elaine (Woodman)
He is survived by his wife: Martha L. (Flowers) Woodman; his children: Steve D. Woodman, Scott F Woodman, Candra “Candy” D. (Woodman) Fransen and Dominic “Nic” DeMeo III; a sister: Maralyn “Mickey” S. Woodman 12-grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
Memorialization will be by cremation. A Celebration of life for all family and friends will be held in Jacksonville on 30/12/2022. A Church service TBA will be held in the new year in the Live Oak Area. A closed memorial service will be held at a later date at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens where military honors will be rendered.
