Dessie Rewis

Dessie Maxine Rewis, 84, of Folkston, GA passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019.  She was born December 11, 1934 in Lyons, Georgia to the late Robert M. Joyner and Addie Mae Martin Joyner.  She was a member of Harvest Christian Fellowship.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years:  W.L. Rewis, and her siblings:  Elsie Joyner, Bobby Joyner and Eva Joyner.

She is survived by her children:  Ken (Debbie) Rewis, Blake (Linda) Rewis, Mike (Delores) Rewis, Linda (JR) Davis and Brenda (Tracy) Johnson; brothers:  Waymon Joyner, Harold Joyner, Vick Joyner and Lloyd Joyner; sisters:  Faye Joyner and Ruby Thornton; 15-grandchildren, 35-great grandchildren and 4-great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 2 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home from6-8 PM.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 3 at 1 PM in the chapel of Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Sardis Cemetery.
