Derahn Robert Sikes, Sr., 79 of Folkston passed away February 3, 2013 at his residence. He was born September 25, 1933 in Pembroke, Georgia to Charlie and Adder Mae Barbara Jones Sikes. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include: Spouse: Merry Lee Harper Sikes of Fernandina Beach, Florida; Son: Derahn Robert Sikes, Jr.(Linda) of Folkston; Step daughter: Jeanette Bell of Callahan, Florida; 2 granddaughters: Dawn Michelle Sikes Davis(Curtis) of Jesup, Georgia; Scheree Rene Sikes Hobbs (Cedrick) of Folkston, Georgia; one grandson: Derahn Robert Sikes, III of Jesup, Georgia; Six Great-grandchildren: Kelsey Michelle Davis, Cedric Derahn Hobbs(C.D.), Keyshaun Lamar Hobbs; Elijah Payton Hobbs, Sequon Hobbs, Karleigh Jayden Sikes; Several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be Friday, February 8, 2013 at 11:00 Am in the Chapel of Shepard Funeral Home with Rev. Ray McMillan officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery.
