Dennis Reginald Simpson, 82, of Kingsland, GA passed away at his home May 25, 2024. He was born September 1, 1941 in Aiken, SC to the late Rufus Simpson and Jewell (Howell) Simpson. He retired from the Asbestos Workers Local #13 out of Jacksonville, FL. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy for 10 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: H.M. “Mac” Simpson.
He is survived by his children: James Paul Simpson and Jessica Marie Simpson Fleming (Joey); 8-grandchildren; 10-great grandchildren; 2-brothers: Larry Simpson and Archie Simpson; his best friend and hunting buddy: Nick Flowers and an extended family in Wrightsville, GA.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 30 at 11:00 in the Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jacksonville National Cemetery.
