David was born in Folkston, Georgia and was the son of the late Iron Edgar Woolard and Josephine Guinn Woolard. Known to many as "Mr. Dave", he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Working in his yard was his biggest passion with beautiful various flowers blooming year round. If riding by his home, you would most likely see him riding on his lawnmower, raking or out feeding his birds. He loved working in his yard and was very proud of his azaleas and the many compliments he would receive when they were blooming. He worked for 15 years as a superviser for Super Test/Charter Oil Company managing various stations throughout Florida and Georgia. However, many remember him as the lead singer with the Apostles Quartet where he traveled and sang gospel music for over 20 years. He was also well known as an appliance repairman, working and repairing various machines for the citizens of Charlton County. For the last 25 years, he worked with Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home, serving families in their time of grief. Dave was a member of the First Baptist Church in Folkston where he was ordained as a deacon in 1975 as well as serving as a deacon for Camp Pinckney Baptist Church.
Dave is survived by his three daughters, Rhonda (Buddy) Francis, Judy (Ray) Canaday and Brenda (Robert) Mahoney and two sisters, Edna Lambert and Joann (Glen) Rowell. Also his eleven amazing grandchildren, twenty precious great granchildren and numerous loved nieces and nephews.
