David Brady

David Brady, 82, of Folkston, GA passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at UF Health in Jacksonville, FL. He was born May 30, 1942 in Echols County, GA to the late Collie Raiford Brady and Gussie Lee Taylor Brady. David proudly served our country in the United States Army as a Ranger and after his active duty he served in the National Guard. He was in Public Safety for over 50 years as a Paramedic/Firefighter. He also trained many people in CPR and how to be a First Responder. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years: Bonnie Maria Stokes Brady; and also 5 sisters and 1 brother. 

He is survived by his children: Melissa (Larry) Blalock and Tony (Debbie) Brady; two grandsons: Danny Blount and David Hash; three great-granddaughters: Lily Blount, Emma Blount, and Elyce Blount; and also numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 24 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home in Folkston, GA from 1-2 PM. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tristan Aldridge officiating.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
