Daniel Roddenberry

Daniel Hebard Roddenberry, 79, of Folkston, passed away Monday December 17 in Jacksonville following a brief illness. He was born in Charlton County to the late Gadson S. Roddenberry and the late Susan V. Colson Roddenberry. He retired from Gilman Paper Company after over 20 years of service. He was a member of the Homeland Church of God of Prophecy. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Bambi Nicole Roddenberry.

He is survived by his wife of over 53 years: Robbie Jean Roddenberry; 4-Children: Danny (Debra) Roddenberry of Folkston, Tommy H. (Marsha) Roddenberry of St. George, GA, Gadson S. (Gayle Carter) Roddenberry of Folkston, and Sarah Ann Roddenberry of Folkston; a Brother: N.W. “Boy” Roddenberry of Folkston; 2-Sisters: Katie Nelson of Fernandina Beach, FL and Irene Brock of Folkston; 6-Grandchildren and 13-Great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday December 17 at Mr. Roddenberry's residence on Sardis Church Road beginning at 4:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 19 at 3:00 PM at the Homeland Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Ricky Knox, Rev. Harold Thornton, and Rev. Fred Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery.
