Collean Swain

Collean Simmons Swain, 80, passed away March 26, 2010 in Hilliard, Florida. She was born in Pierce County, Georiga to George Barnard and Mattie Crews Jones. Collean moved to Hilliard from Patterson where she lived for 30 years. She was a member of Mill Creek Primitive Baptist Church, a member of the Blackshear Lions Club and also a member of the Easter Star in Waycross, Georgia.
She is survived by her Children: Robert L. (Vickie) Simmons of Hilliard, FL, Walter Laverne Simmons of Hilliard, Nancy J. (Ronnie) Jones of Hilliard, Judy Darlene Crawford of Branford, SC; Two Sisters: Maude Bullard of Brunswick, Georgia, Melba Simmons of Hilliard; a dear friend: Christa Wilmns;13 Grandchildren, 34 Great Grandchildren, Several beloved Step Children, Step Grandchildren, Step Great Grandchildren with Dude Swain, other relatives, and beloved friends.
She is preceded in death by her First Husband: Robert H. Simmons and Second Husband: A.E “Dude” Swain.
The family will receive friends Monday, March 29, 2010 from 6-8PM at Shepard Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Gateway to Life Ministries of Hilliard with Rev. Bruce Cubbage officiating. Burial will follow at Millcreek Cemetery.
