Christopher Harkins

Christopher Lee Harkins, 26 passed away June 23, 2009. He graduated from Baker County High School in 2004. He was a Junior Firefighter for St. George Volunteer Fire Station #2. He had a heart transplant at age 13 and lived 13 years in good health until rejection complications. He was always happy with a smile on his face. He was very compassionate and loved people. He enjoyed welding with his dad and granddad and Uncle Larry. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: John M. Dasher, III and Everett E. Moss.

He is survived by his parents: Jean & Glen Harkins; 2-Sisters: Nicole (Peanut) Harkins and Brandi Smith; a Brother: Austin Harkins; Grandparents: Sandra & Larry Graham and Faye Harkins; and a niece: Amira Dasher.

The family will receive friends Thursday June 25 at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, GA from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday June 26 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Robert Watson officiating. Burial will be in St. George City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert and Dusty Mimbs, Garth Guinn, Cody McCoy, Rick Hand, Ronnie Johns, Rusty Hornsby, and Shane Roman.
