Charlie Faye Granger

Charlie Faye (Durden) Granger, 83, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023. She was born in Dothan, Alabama on November 16, 1939 to the late James E. Durden and Jewel Lee (Dean) Durden. Charlie was a long-time resident of St. George, Georgia and a member of New Life Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; William S. Granger, Jr., daughter; Marlene Combs, grandchild; Joseph Dicks, and 2-brothers; Chris Durden and James Durden, Jr.

She is survived by her 3-children; Marie (Charlie) Wells, Teresa Harnage, Sammy (Patty) Granger, 5-grandchildren; Amy (Kyle) Christy, Chasidy (Jason) Bulger, Crystal (Matt) Mirkowski, Richard Harnage, and Caitlin (John) McMullen, and 11-great-grandchildren.

A service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at New Life Baptist Church with Pastor James Conner officiating. Burial will follow at St. George Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
