Charles Johnson

Charles Lewis Johnson, 59, of Folkston, passed away July 18, 2008 at his residence following a lengthy illness. A native and life-long resident of Charlton County, he was the son of the late Dick and Leona Morgan Johnson. Charles worked and enjoyed being a member of the logging industry for the last 40 years.

He is survived by his wife: June Johnson, of Folkston; 2-Daughters: Melissa Wilson and Denise Johnson; 1-Son: Jody (Nicki) Johnson; 4-Grandchildren: Hanna Wilson, Caleb Wilson, Brandon McDonald, and Riley Johnson; 2-Brothers: Larry Dale (Betty Kay) Johnson and Roger (Theresa) Johnson; 3-Sisters: Barbara Sue (Larry Joe) Brown, Freda (Cippy) Villa and Debbie Lartz; 11-Nieces and Nephews and 20- Great Nieces and Nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday July 20 at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, GA beginning at 6:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday July 21 at 11:00 AM at the Shepard Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Reggie Herrin, Rev. Bruce Flansburg, and Rev. Mike Mattox officiating. Burial will follow in Homeland Cemetery.
