CATHERINE HERRIN

Catherine Griffin Herrin, 85, of Folkston, GA passed away Monday, December 14, 2020.  She was born April 10, 1935 in Folkston, GA to the late Albert Griffin and Myrtle Hickox Griffin.  She loved to make quilts in her spare time.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:  Carl L. Herrin, Sr.; 4-children:  Larry Stevens Herrin, Patricia Yvonne Herrin, Carl L. Herrin, Jr., and Vivian Camillia Herrin; a great granddaughter:  Ashlyn Nicole Poole; 2-sisters:  Bobbie Trouille and Betty Lee; and 3-brothers:  Robert Griffin, Ray Griffin and Jimmy Griffin.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law:  Sharon and Donahue Popham and Kathie and Robert Cowart; a sister:  Linda McInvale Johns; 6-grandchildren; 14-great grandchildren and 2-great great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, December 17 at 11:00 AM in Pineview Cemetery with Rev. Charlie Dunn officiating.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the cemetery.

Due to the COVID-19, the family would like to ask all to please follow the rules of social distancing and face mask are recommended at the service.   Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the service, the family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
