Carolyn Mahoney

Carolyn McCubbins Mahoney, 71, of Homeland, GA passed away Friday, September 17 in Jacksonville, FL.  She was born December 11, 1949 in Bullitt County, KY to the late Franklin Howard McCubbins and Jessie Thompson McCubbins.  She loved her Lord, her family and her church.  She was a faithful member of Homeland Church of God of Prophecy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:  Kenneth “Skeeter” Mahoney, Sr and a granddaughter:  Sarah Francis Mahoney.

She is survived by her children:  Kenneth (Regina) Mahoney, Jr., Melissa Mahoney and Susie Mahoney; grandchildren:  Kenneth Mahoney, III, Reese Mahoney and Lynnsie Mahoney and a sister:  Faye Etherton.  She helped raise Carl Horne and Dallas Shermer.

Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, September 25 at 11:00 AM in Homeland Cemetery with Rev. Ray McMillan and Rev. Lanier Weaver officiating.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the cemetery.

Due to Covid-19, the family would like to ask all attendees to please follow the rules of social distancing and face masks are recommended at the service.  Also, anyone that does not feel comfortable with attending the service, the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
