Caitlyn Wainwright

Caitlyn Cassidy Wainwright, 16, of Folkston, GA passed away Monday, July 4 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida and lived all of her life in Folkston. She was an upcoming Junior at Charlton County High School where she was on the Maidens Varsity Softball Team, Varsity Basketball Team and on the Cheerleading Squad. Caitlyn has been in the top 10% academically in her class since 6th grade. In addition to sports, Caitlyn loved horseback riding, going to the beach and river, and hanging out with her family and friends. She was a member of Hickox Baptist Church.
She is survived by her parents: Brian and Mary Prescott Wainwright; a sister: Cally Wainwright; a Brother: Chase Wainwright; Grandparents: Lamar & Louise Wainwright and Winfred & Carolyn Prescott; a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and a host of loving friends.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 6 at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston beginning at 6. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 7 at 10:00 AM at Hickox Baptist Church with Rev. Ray McMillan officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery.
A memorial fund is set up in Caitlyn’s name at FNB South Bank in Folkston for those wishing to send a contribution in her name.
