Brooke Dover

Melanie Brooke Dover, 17, of Callahan, passed away March 24 in Appling County Georgia from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was a Junior at West Nassau High School where she was selected as Miss Junior by her classmates. She was the Captain of the Varsity Cheerleading Squad. She was selected as the Basketball Homecoming Queen and was a member of the National Honor Society. She competed in numerous beauty pageants where she either won or placed in all. She was preceded in death by her grandfather: Bobby Maddox

She is survived by her mother: Mandy (Ray) Wright of Callahan; Father: Brian (Angie) Dover of Callahan; Sisters: Amber Maddox, Darrian Wright, Kayla Peoples; Brothers: Blake Wright, Garrett Wright, and Dylan Peoples; Grandparents: Kathy Weaver, Romy & Sharon Dover; Great Grandmother: Edna Fouraker; Aunts: Autumn Dover and Leshia Smith; Uncles: Brad Dover, and Mike, Craig, and Danny Maddox; and several Great Aunts & Uncles, and many other relatives.

The family will receive friends Thursday March 27 at the First Baptist Church of Callahan from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday March 28 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Callahan with Dr. Lynn Hyatt and Rev. Todd Carr officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery in Callahan.
