Bonnie Olive Futch

Bonnie Thrift Johnson Futch passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at her daughter’s home in Easley, South Carolina with her daughter, Desiree and granddaughter, Heather by her bed-side. Bonnie was 87 years young. A native of Brantley County, she worked at Southeastern Bank in Folkston for many years before retiring. Bonnie and her husband, Roswald opened and operated Johnson’s Corner Market in Folkston for many years.

She is preceded in death by spouse; Roswald Johnson, spouse; James R. Futch, and granddaughter; Shelley Williams.

She is survived by her daughter; Desiree Burggren, granddaughter; Heather (Grant) Sullivan and two great-granddaughters; Sydney Sullivan and Lillian Sullivan.

Funeral services for Bonnie will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home in Folkston, Georgia with visitation at 10:00am and funeral at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery. Lunch will be provided at Riverside Baptist Church on Old River Road, Nahunta, Georgia immediately following burial.
