Betty Lou Thomas Nelson, 68, of Callahan, passed away at her residence January 18, 2010. She was born in Bryceville to the late W.H and Eva Ester Sikes Thomas. She was a member of New Life Fellowship in Callahan, FL.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years: Lamar Edward Nelson; 3-Children: Vickie (David, Jr) Henderson, Kim Foster, and Marty Lamar (Cheryl) Nelson; 6-Grandchildren: Joshua and Jessica Henderson, Mylon and Stephanie Nelson, and Brittany and David Foster, Jr.; 3-Sisters: Audrey (Robert) Hawkins, Dorothy (Mike) McPherson, and Edith (Wendell) Hatcher; 2-Brothers: Owen (Laverne) Thomas and Cecil (Linda) Thomas; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 22 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6-9 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 23 at 2:00 PM at the Shepard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Westmoreland officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hilliard, Florida.
