Betty Jean Flake Cole

Betty Jean Flake Cole, 81, of Hilliard, Florida went to her heavenly home on June 1, 2023, peacefully surrounded by family at the Warner Center for Caring in Fernandina Beach, Florida.

Betty was born on October 13, 1941 in Jacksonville, Florida.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a homemaker who loved her family. She loved to crochet, cook, watch movies and talk.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years; Jack Cole, great-grandson; Tristan White, mother and father; Norman and Fannie Flake, brother-in-law; Albert Owens, and sister-in-law; Cleo Flake.

Left to cherish her memory are her 2-daughters; Robin Wilson and Rhonda (Keith) Campbell, 5-grandsons; Jeremiah (Linda) White, Josh (Vanessa) White, Justin (Shaun) Knoble, Jesse (Carrie) Silcox, and Cody Campbell, 1-granddaughter; Ciara Campbell, great-grandchildren; Kadance Knoble, Austin Knoble, Bella White, Lundyn White, Malaki Silcox, Valkyrie Silcox, Lucas White, Lana White, and Madison Silcox, sister; Evelyn Owens, brother; Larry Flake, and many nieces and nephews who adored her.

A service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeremiah White, Josh White, Chris Owens, Brandon Rich, Keith Campbell and Shawn Hand. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
