Bertha Mae Martin

Bertha Mae Waters Martin, 77, of Hilliard, FL passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023 at her home following a lengthy illness.  She was born October 27, 1945 in Waycross, GA to the late Lawrence and Dorothy McCray Waters.  She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Boulougne. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:  Gary Martin, a son:  Larry Martin, 2-sisters:  Catheline Waters and Rita Waters and 2-brothers:  Edward Waters and T.J. Waters. Two days after the passing of Bertha, another of her brothers, Roy Waters, passed away.

She is survived by her children:  Helen Conine and Linda Aucoin; grandchildren:  David Conine, Troy (Dawn) Conine, Jacob (Michelle) Aucoin and Danielle Aucoin; great grandchildren: Calvin Conine, Carson Conine, Trevor Aucoin, Willow Aucoin, Penn Aucoin and Kipp Aucoin; a sister:  Virginia Courson-Carroll; 2-brothers:  Max Waters, and Harley Waters, and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 26 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home from 6-8 PM.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 27 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Boulougne with Rev. Paul Lucas and Rev. Greg Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in Pigeon Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Boulougne.
