Bertha Farley

Bertha Conner Farley, 88 of Jacksonville, Florida passed away February 9, 2013 in Baptist Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born April 25, 1924 in Folkston, Georgia to Andrew John and Frances Ophelia Woolard Conner. She was employed with Pantry Pride for a number of years, in the Bakery department and a member of Russell Baptist Church of Green Cove Springs, Florida.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years: Paul Chandler Farley of Jacksonville, Florida; One daughter: Diane Hamilton of Jacksonville, Florida; One son: Lewis “Buddy” Johnson (Loretta) of Nahunta, Georgia; five grandchildren; eleven Great-grandchildren; seven Great-great-grandchildren; Several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives. Honorary pallbearer: George Hamilton. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Joanne Mixson and two sisters: Marcelle Heselschwerdt and Louise Eaton.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6 until 8 pm. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Funeral Home with Rev. James Conner officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery.
