Barbara Boyd

Barbara Christine Batten Boyd, 68, of Blackshear, GA passed away Thursday, September 30 in Waycross, GA.  She was born July 9, 1953 in Valdosta, GA to the late George Legree Batten and Martha Elizabeth Wright Batten.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson:  Trenton Bryant and a sister:  Trishy Batten.

She is survived by her children:  Shalane Chancey, Chad (Sallie) Bryant and Brandi Bryant; 6-grandchildren:  Alyssa Ward, Lillie (Jeremy) Corbitt, Mackenzie Ward, Chas Bryant, Konner Chancey and Ellie Chancey; 2-great grandchildren:  Brody Corbitt and Beckham Corbitt; a sister:  Linda (James) Nettles and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, October 8 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home Chapel at noon.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Memorialization will be by cremation.

Due to Covid-19, face masks are optional at the service.  Also, anyone that does not feel comfortable with attending the service, the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
