Annie Emeline Altman Crews, 85 of Folkston passed away Friday, March 09, 2012 in Charlton Memorial Hospital, Folkston, Georgia. She was born March 23, 1926 in Hoboken, Georgia to Wilbur Noah and Rosa Mozelle Lee Altman. She loved cooking, gardening, canning, singing Gospel music and most of all entertaining guest. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, Great-grandmother and beloved friend to many. She was a member of Grace Chapel Baptist Church and was very active in her church work.
She is survived by her children: Charles Larry Crews (Lorene) of Folkston; Annette Crews Dell (Marshall) of Folkston; Joyce Crews Bryant of Folkston; Elaine Crews Beverly of Jesup; grandchildren: Michael Dell, David Dell, Suzannah Dell Cornett, Jason Bryant, Joy Bryant, Sherry Carter DeLoach; Step-Grandchildren: Harley Roddenberry, Step-great-great-grandchildren: Hallie, Maylee and Marley Farmer; Great-grandchildren: Taylor Dell, Brandon Dell, Benjamin Dell, Phillip Dell, Noah Chehata, London DeLoach, Laine DeLoach, Logan DeLoach and Step-Great Grandchild: Brittany DeLoach; Sisters: Mattie Cobb of Reidsville, Ga.; Pearl Dowling of St. Augustine, Fannie Moore (Robert) of Jacksonville ; Shirley Temple of Waycross; Several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Basil Crews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 4 until 6 PM at Shepard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, March 12, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Grace Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. John Boatright and Rev. Marvin Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery
