Alex "A.L." Sweat

Rev. Alex Loren “A.L.” Sweat, 78, of Hilliard, FL went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, July 17 in Jacksonville, FL.  He was born April 2, 1942 in Atkins, Georgia to the late Loren and Commey Trowell  Sweat.  He was a true warrior in God’s Army and Pastor of Hilliard Pentecostal Full Gospel Church.  He was a talented minister through music and singing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons:  Wayne Thomas and Glenn Oren Sweat and a son-in-law:  William Powers.

He is survived by his wife:  Linda Smith Sweat; children:  Ernest (Gracie) Sweat, Alex Loren Sweat, Jr., Connie Powers, Pam (Roger) Murphy, Loren Thomas, Linda (Glenn) Baumuller, David (Angel) Thomas, Danny (Ellie) Thomas, Zelda Thomas and Dustin Sweat; 30 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 21 at 11:00 At Peoria Cemetery in Doctor’s Inlet, Florida.
