Alan Lynwood Willis, Jr., 87, of Folkston, GA passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022. He was born in Macon, GA on January 17, 1935 to the late Alan L. Willis and Addi Bell Willis.
Alan was a devout Christian man that loved and lived for God. He was a member of Camp Pinckney Baptist Church in Folkston, GA. He loved his family and hunting and fishing. Alan worked at Union Camp for 17 years. He then retired from Humphreys Mining Company where he worked as a supervisor and lead man for over 26 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepson; Curtis McMichael and a grandson; Eion King.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years; Christine Johns Willis, 2 sons; Stephen S. McMichael, Ronald McMichael, a daughter; Vicky McMichael, and 7 grandchildren; Justin King, Amber McMichael Underwood, William McMichael, Joseph McMichael, Christi McMichael, Gage(Edie) McMichael and Curtis McMichael, Jr.
A service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, February, 18, 2022 at Shepard Roberson Funeral Home with a burial following at Pineview Cemetery in Folkston, GA. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to service.
